George Zimmerman has been charged with second-degree murder in the Trayvon Martin shooting, after weeks of stalling and white supremacist lobbying to have all young black men pre-emptively declared criminals.
Oh, and here’s one for the are-you-fucking-kidding-me file:
[Zimmerman’s] attorney, Mark O’Mara, said Zimmerman would plead not guilty, and hoped the judge would consider a bond.
“He is troubled by everything that has happened,” O’Mara said. “Truly, it must be frightening to not be able to go into a 7-Eleven or a store. It would trouble any of us.”
Do I have to point out the irony here?

I left Florida in 2000 after too many years in that hell with right-wing “got-miners” and racist pigs. I hate that place so bad I won’t even go back to visit.

Before, and I am still appalled that Katherine Harris is in Congress in DC. She’s a crook like the others.

Yes, Mike she was and then she moved on to a seat in Congress in Washington DC. WTF?? So four years later that jerk in Ohio referred to her and her success after her malfeasance and how he planned to do the same. Disgusting slimeballs.

My husband left in June ’99 and I followed in March of 2000; we were gone before the debacle and we were certainly glad to vote in California. Katherine Harris had been described as “a piece of work” by folks who know.
